The Senior Technical Lead, Data & AI Engineering is responsible for providing technical leadership across complex data and AI initiatives—bridging the gap between architecture, engineering execution, and business outcomes. This role requires a hands-on leader who can define scalable architectures, guide data engineering teams, and ensure successful delivery of cloud-native data and AI solutions that drive measurable value for enterprise clients.
Role and Responsibilities

Define and lead the architecture for large-scale data and AI projects using AWS cloud-native technologies and modern data frameworks.

Translate business and analytical needs into end-to-end data platform designs encompassing ingestion, processing, storage, and visualization.

Provide hands-on technical oversight and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability.

Evaluate and implement best practices for MLOps, data governance, and model deployment in production environments.

Lead technical delivery for multiple client engagements, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.

Collaborate closely with project managers and product owners to refine requirements, define milestones, and manage technical risks.

Ensure adherence to RevStar’s delivery frameworks, code review processes, and documentation standards.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing guidance and resolution strategies for both data and infrastructure-related challenges.

Partner with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to design integrated data and AI solutions that leverage RevStar’s multi-disciplinary expertise.

Work with AWS Solution Architects and Partner teams to optimize architectures for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.

Contribute to internal technical initiatives, playbook development, and capability-building across the Data & AI Engineering practice.

Stay ahead of emerging data, AI, and cloud technologies to inform RevStar’s strategic technical roadmap.

Evaluate new tools and frameworks that enhance delivery speed, data quality, and insight generation.

Promote a culture of experimentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the Data & AI team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, or software development, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale data platforms or AI-driven solutions in a consulting or enterprise environment.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, SageMaker, Athena, EMR).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data frameworks such as Spark, Airflow, or dbt.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing best practices.
- Experience operationalizing machine learning models and managing MLOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance practices in the cloud.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus.
