We Are Hiring

Product Management Lead, Data & AI

RevStar is hiring a Product Management Lead, Data & AI. This is a senior player-coach dedicated to product rigor and the successful commercialization of AI initiatives. This isn’t a traditional administrative role, it’s a strategic leadership seat focused on raising the quality bar for discovery, roadmap execution, and value articulation across our Data & AI practice. From framing complex GenAI use cases to mentoring PMs on the 'RevStar Standard,' you will act as the multiplier that ensures our technical innovation translates into measurable, production-ready business outcomes.

Summary

The Product Management Lead, Data & AI is a senior, hands-on player-coach responsible for enforcing product delivery standards, coaching Product Managers, and ensuring consistent execution quality across Data & AI engagements.

This role supports the Practice Lead, Data & AI by owning day-to-day product rigor, reviewing PM outputs, ensuring compliance with RevStar’s delivery standards, and helping Product Managers operate with a strong ownership and upsell mindset.

The Product Management Lead remains hands-on with client work while acting as the quality bar and multiplier for the broader Product Management team within the Data & AI practice.

Role and Responsibilities

Delivery & Client Engagement
  • Act as hands-on Product Manager on Data & AI and GenAI client engagements, including QuickStarts and early production phases
  • Partner with clients to define:
    • Clear problem statements and success metrics
    • Data and AI use cases aligned to business outcomes
    • Phased roadmaps from POC → MVP → Production
  • Ensure each engagement includes a clear next-phase narrative and conversion path
  • Support PMs in managing scope, expectations, and prioritization in high-velocity environments
Practice Standards & Quality Assurance
  • Define, document, and continuously improve Product Management standards for Data & AI engagements
  • Audit PM artifacts against the RevStar Quality Bar, including:
    • Use case definitions and success metrics
    • Roadmaps and phase plans tied to business impact for the client and for RevStar, not solely feature lists
    • Backlogs and acceptance criteria
    • POC-to-production conversion plans
  • Ensure all Product Managers and projects comply with RevStar delivery frameworks and expectations
  • Identify delivery risks early and proactively coach PMs to course-correct
Leadership & People Development (Player-Coach)
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to Product Managers supporting Data & AI engagements
  • Provide structured feedback across:
    • Discovery and use case framing
    • Data/AI product thinking (not just feature delivery)
    • Stakeholder communication and expectation management
    • Upsell identification and QBR readiness
  • Support onboarding and ramp-up of new PMs in the Data & AI practice
  • Partner with the Practice Lead on performance reviews, readiness assessments, and growth plans
  • Design curriculum, lead and deliver Leadership Labs, and participate in thought leadership to enhance the company brand
Cross-Functional Delivery Alignment
  • Work closely with Data Engineers, AI Engineers, Architects, DevOps, and Design to ensure product intent is clearly translated into delivery execution
  • Help resolve ambiguity between “what’s possible” and “what’s valuable” in GenAI and data initiatives
  • Reinforce strong collaboration between PMs and Team Leads
  • Ensure PMs are effective partners to Team Leads and Engineers
Continuous Improvement & Enablement
  • Identify recurring challenges in Data & AI delivery and propose improvements to:
    • Discovery approaches
    • POC packaging and positioning
    • Metrics and value articulation
  • Contribute to internal playbooks, templates, and enablement materials (e.g., POC → MVP frameworks, GenAI value metrics)
  • Stay current on data and AI product best practices, AWS offerings, and market trends
  • Translate client learnings into reusable standards across the practice

Qualifications

Must Have
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with direct exposure to Data, Analytics, or AI-driven products
  • Experience working in consulting or high-velocity client delivery environments
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, reviewing, or mentoring Product Managers
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery and cross-functional execution
  • Ability to translate complex data and AI concepts into clear business outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively
Nice to Have
  • Experience with AWS-based data and AI ecosystems
  • Familiarity with GenAI, ML workflows, or analytics platforms
  • Background working closely with data engineering or ML teams
  • Experience contributing to delivery standards or operating frameworks

What This Role Is — and Is Not

This role is:

  • A hands-on technical leader
  • The owner of Data, GenAI, and Agentic AI engineering standards
  • A coach and multiplier for delivery teams
  • A builder of systems, patterns, and enablement

This role is not:

  • A people manager with direct reports
  • A project manager or delivery coordinator
  • A purely strategic or non-technical role

While this role mentors engineers on technical growth, all administrative, performance-rating, and career-pathing conversations remain with the Product Manager.
